Whether you are a mental health practitioner seeking to expand the scope of your services, or an organization desiring to transition from traditional medical practice into a proactive and preventative integrated healthcare practice, we can meet your needs.

As healthcare professionals we must constantly attend not only to the health of the body, but also to the health of the mind. An integrated approach is critical if we seek to promote wellness of the whole person.

All the Tools You Need to Succeed

Primary Care Behavioral Health & Integrated Care

Consultation and training are provided to individuals, organizations, institutions, businesses, and private practices looking to implement or expand primary care behavioral health services and/or integrate into specialty medical practices.

Examples of services:
  • Evaluate practice needs and assist in the development of a program to improve health outcomes
  • Define the mission, learn the models, and understand the "how to" of primary care behavioral health and integrated care.
  • Identify and define roles and responsibilities among primary care behavioral health team members.
  • Teach the requisite skills for providers to function successfully in primary care behavioral health.
  • Design a method for program evaluation by tracking data, monitoring success, and assessing cost savings.
  • Implement a population health approach to your practice model.
  • Develop shared medical appointment models to increase efficiency in your practice.

Clinical Health Psychology & Specialty Services

Behavioral medicine and clinical health psychology services are provided via an integrated approach to understanding the relationship between physical, emotional, cognitive, and social contributors to health and illness.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for chronic medical conditions
  • Behavioral Sleep Medicine (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia [CBT-I], CPAP compliance)
  • Behavioral Pain Management (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Pain [CBT-P])
  • Presurgical Psychological Assessments (e.g., spinal cord stimulation, bariatric surgery, organ transplantation, IVF, etc.)
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Lifestyle Modification, Health Behavior Change
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Independent Medical Opinions
  • Disability Evaluations
  • Mediation (e.g., child custody, settlement disputes)

Advanced Training & Consultation

Have you ever come back from a conference excited to begin a new treatment with a client/patient only to find that you don’t really know “how to” implement the therapy?

Does your organization seek to train mental health providers in evidence based psychotherapy protocols (e.g., treatments for pain, sleep, depression, trauma)?

Do you want to expand your traditional mental health practice into behavioral medicine and clinical health psychology domains?

Do you want to build your toolkit of behavioral treatments for medical conditions?
Education & Training in evidence-based psychotherapy protocols
Training provides you with the ability to:
  • Understand the theoretical underpinnings of the treatment approach.
  • Obtain a broad foundation and etiology of the specific disorder to be treated.
  • Conduct a differential assessment, functional analysis, and thorough evaluation of the presenting condition to determine if the treatment is indicated.
  • Understand the clinical interventions in a step-by-step protocol.
  • Utilize experiential and interactive learning to develop your practice skills.
  • Conduct role-plays and engage in case discussion.
  • Access the most relevant treatment manuals and research on the condition.
  • Conceptualize cases in an effective, efficient manner that promotes treatment fidelity and better patient outcomes.
Often clients choose to continue with consultation as they start to implement the treatment in daily practice. Case consultation is often valuable and recommended for 6-12 months after learning a new treatment approach. It can help you build confidence and competence with newly learned evidence-based psychotherapy protocols.

Clinical Consultation
Consultation is valuable for many reasons. It can
help you:
  • Systematically and confidently apply newly learned treatment techniques and protocols
  • Receive consultation and feedback throughout the course of treatment with active cases
  • Develop new ideas for how to move forward with challenging patients
  • Discuss ethical challenges and/or boundaries
  • Examine how your own life experiences may be impacting your work

Mentoring

Everyone can benefit from mentoring and more often than not, professionals do not allow themselves the time or space to explore their own professional goals, aspirations, and intentions.
  • Mentoring can help you:
    • Explore your career goals in a judgment free, supportive space.
    • Develop a game plan for launching a new practice specialty.
    • Seek guidance on career challenges and transitions.
    • Navigate political pitfalls and challenges in obtaining career goals.
    • Discuss and address frustrations in the workplace that may keep you from being “your best self.”
    • Envision your career trajectory and develop a strategy to get there.
